MARIN LUPANCIUC
Marin Lupanciuc is one of the young actors who quickly established himself on the stage of Teatrul Național din Timișoara, where he began building his artistic path during his student years. A graduate of the Faculty of Music and Theatre at the West University of Timișoara (class of 2019), under Professor Sütö-Udvari András, and of the MA program coordinated by Ada Lupu Hausvater, he stood out from the beginning for his stage presence and versatility. His first major encounter with the National Theatre came with The Green Cat, included in the company’s active repertoire in 2019.
Since then, he has taken part in numerous major productions, working with directors such as Antonella Cornici, Radu Afrim, Ada Lupu Hausvater, Radu Iacoban, Roberto Bacci, Felix Alexa, and Irina Moscu. His credits include I Am a Communist Old Lady, The M Family Illness, Anna Karenina, The Taming of the Shrew, Richard III, The True West, and The Sick Ones, establishing him as an actor capable of moving naturally between very different dramatic registers.
A defining moment in his career came in 2023, when acclaimed director Oskaras Koršunovas cast him in the lead role of Exodus. His performance earned him a nomination for the UNITER Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role, confirming his status as one of the most promising voices of the new generation of Romanian actors.
