Transilvania IFF partners with HBO for Works in Progress

The Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) announces a new program dedicated to the Romanian film industry. Developed in partnership with HBO, the Works in Progress (WIP) program offers filmmakers the chance to present their films currently in post-production at Transilvania IFF (June 12–21) to international industry professionals and to connect with sales agents, distributors, or festival representatives. Selected projects will compete for the Transilvania HBO Award, worth 30,000 EUR, which may be awarded to one or two projects, depending on the jury’s decision.

Filmmakers can submit their projects (a 20–30-minute edit from a feature film that has not yet premiered) via the Eventival platform:

The program will take place in Cluj-Napoca, as part of TIFF RO Days | Industry Events. Screenings will be reserved exclusively for industry guests, and each will be followed by a five-minute presentation by the director or producer, providing additional information about the project.

The composition of the Works in Progress jury will be announced shortly.
